Hola!!

Hey guys! We had another sweet week full of awesome experiences. The best news: Francisco is having his interview this Thursday, and we are going to have a baptism on the 12th! This is an awesome family that we have been working with for a few months now. Francisco is the last member of his family to get baptized, and they all have a goal of getting sealed in the temple in one year!!!! Seriously, this is one of the best families that I have met on my mission, and I am stoked to see them sealed!

We have also been working with some new people this week. One awesome lady lives in a little town about 20 miles away from our area and we have visited her a few times, and she came to church and is really excited about learning more about the Gospel. Her name is Aurora.

Our ward is really really excited right now about music. We are going to try to form a choir and we are going to be teaching piano lessons and helping our Latin friends sing. It will be quite a challenge! haha just kidding. We are also going to be doing a few workshops for the members to help them learn how to share the Gospel with their friends. Everybody seems pretty excited and willing to learn.

This week I had a pretty interesting experience. My companion and I arrived at the house of a family who are members of the church but don´t go regularly. We wanted to see what we could do to help them get back to the church and start participating again. They had been very active in the church and they had gone through all of the motions. The problem, we quickly found out, was that although they were active in the church, they were not active in the Gospel. We can go to every single meeting and say the right words and do the right things, but if our heart is not in it, it doesn't do us any good. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps us to live the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. But we must LIVE it! It is a way of life. I hope that we are all repenting of our sins and striving to live worthy of our promises with God. That is the only way to get back to His presence and receive a fulness of His joy.
